Operations Analytics Engineer
About this role
Otter seeks an Operations Analytics Engineer to monitor and safeguard the health of revenue-critical products by detecting performance anomalies, investigating root causes across technical and operational domains, and building proactive alerting systems. You'll partner with engineering, operations, and product teams to triage issues quickly and maintain stakeholder trust in platform data.
What you'll do
- Monitor core KPIs and business metrics to identify unexpected patterns, spikes, or drops in performance
- Investigate root causes of issues across data quality, technical systems, operational workflows, and product behavior
- Design and maintain dashboards, alerts, and monitoring systems to detect early warning signs of degradation
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Product teams to debug and resolve cross-functional issues
- Develop and evolve business health checks and early-warning systems for the platform
- Create documentation and playbooks to standardize incident response and improve organizational practices
