About this role
Otto Aerospace is looking for an Associate Engineer in Mechanical Systems Design to contribute to the development of their innovative fifth-generation business jet. The role involves designing and integrating mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with specifications while collaborating within an interdisciplinary team.
What you'll do
- Design and develop mechanical systems for aircraft
- Conduct trade studies for system optimization
- Support generation of Interface Control Documentation
- Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews
- Collaborate with various engineering teams
- Create digital product definition for components and assemblies
What they're looking for
- B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 0-2 years in Mechanical Systems design
- Experience with fabrication and assembly methods
- Knowledge of ASME Y14.100 and Y14.5 GD&T
- Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques
- Proficiency in CATIA V5, V6, or 3DX
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
