Engineer – Test Data & Instrumentation

Otto Aerospace is seeking a Test Data & Instrumentation Engineer to support the development and certification of their innovative business jet. The role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure the effective implementation of instrumentation and data systems, focusing on data integrity and system reliability throughout the testing process.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test data requirements
• Work with engineering teams to specify test equipment and instrumentation
• Create and maintain installation and maintenance documentation
• Support the calibration and maintenance of data acquisition equipment
• Ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards for instrumentation
• Participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
• 4+ years in aircraft instrumentation and data acquisition
• Proficiency with data acquisition sensors and systems
• Familiarity with programming languages like LabVIEW and MATLAB
• Experience with aerospace protocols and telemetry systems
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documents
• Knowledge of FAA regulatory standards
• Experience in flight test environments
