Electrical Test Engineer

About this role

Oura is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer for its San Diego or San Francisco offices, focusing on designing and maintaining test systems for product development and manufacturing. This role will bridge engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure the creation of reliable tools and high-quality production processes.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain manufacturing tests using Python
• Act as a liaison between product engineering and manufacturing
• Implement test logic for hardware communication protocols
• Debug and validate issues across hardware and firmware
• Translate specifications into clear and automated test cases
• Support the transition of test systems from engineering to manufacturing

What they're looking for

• 5+ years in infrastructure or systems engineering
• Understanding of hardware communication interfaces like UART and BLE
• Experience with testing electronic components or embedded systems
• Ability to translate specifications into test requirements
• Comfortable with hardware debugging and failure analysis
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
• Fluent in English
