About this role
Oura seeks a Hardware Signal Quality Test Engineer to establish sensor validation capabilities at their San Francisco lab. You'll execute hardware testing on next-generation Oura Ring sensors, analyze physiological signals using Python, and collaborate across engineering disciplines to drive product quality.
What you'll do
- Execute sensor validation cycles and evaluate signal quality across motion, optical, electrical, and thermal sensor domains
- Develop and adapt test methods and tools for physical and physiological signal measurement
- Analyze sensor data using Python to identify patterns and extract actionable insights
- Conduct hands-on lab and field testing, identify anomalies, and support root-cause investigations
- Deliver data-driven reports and findings to cross-functional hardware, firmware, and product teams
- Build repeatable sensor-validation practices and improve test automation and documentation
