Backend Software Engineer - Application Development

About this role

Palantir seeks a Backend Software Engineer to build scalable, data-driven software that solves complex organizational problems. You'll collaborate across teams to design and deliver high-performance systems while potentially participating in Frontline, an immersive customer-embedded program that shapes product development.

What you'll do

• Design and build backend systems at scale for data-driven decision-making platforms
• Collaborate with engineers and non-technical stakeholders to understand customer needs and develop solutions
• Architect new systems and optimize performance for low-latency operational outcomes
• Work autonomously on the full product lifecycle from ideation through production delivery
• Participate in Frontline program (optional) to embed with customers and drive real-world problem solving
• Contribute to cross-functional team efforts to improve software efficiency and reliability
