Software Engineer, Internship - Defense Tech

About this role

Palantir seeks a Software Engineer Intern to contribute to Gotham, their defense-focused data platform, working on mission-critical products that help military and government organizations visualize, analyze, and act on data. You'll collaborate with mentors and cross-functional teams throughout the full product lifecycle, from design through deployment.

What you'll do

• Write high-quality code for Palantir's Gotham defense product
• Participate in product lifecycle stages including ideation, design, prototyping, and shipping
• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, designers, and business development teams
• Build components for geospatial tools, release infrastructure, or other mission-critical features
• Work with a dedicated mentor on professional growth and skill development
• Understand customer problems and contribute to solutions that serve defense operations

What they're looking for

• Software development and clean code practices
• Quick language learning ability
• Java, Go, or TypeScript
• Frontend or backend development
• Problem-solving and collaborative communication
• Experience with open-source technologies (React, Spark, Elasticsearch, etc.)
• Version control and build tools (Git, Gradle)
