Software Engineer, Internship - Defense Tech

About this role

Palantir seeks a Software Engineer Intern to contribute to Gotham, their defense platform that enables secure data integration and analysis for military operations worldwide. You'll work on mission-critical features across the full product lifecycle, paired with a mentor and collaborating with engineers, product managers, and deployed teams to solve real customer problems.

What you'll do

• Write high-quality code for Palantir's Gotham defense product
• Participate in the complete product lifecycle from design through shipping
• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, designers, and business teams
• Build components such as geospatial tools, infrastructure, or data visualization features
• Work closely with mentors to develop software engineering skills
• Partner with forward-deployed engineers to understand and address customer needs

What they're looking for

• Software development in Java, Go, TypeScript, or willingness to learn quickly
• Clean, effective code writing
• Familiarity with React, Elasticsearch, Spark, Cassandra, or similar technologies
• Experience with Git and build tools like Gradle
• Problem-solving and ownership mentality

• Ability to learn new languages and technologies rapidly
