Software Engineer, Internship - Defense Tech

About this role

Palantir seeks a Software Engineer Intern to contribute to Gotham, its defense intelligence platform used by militaries worldwide. You'll work on mission-critical data integration, visualization, and analysis tools alongside experienced mentors, participating in the full product development lifecycle from concept through deployment.

What you'll do

• Write and ship high-quality code for Palantir's Gotham defense product
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to understand customer needs
• Participate in all phases of product development from ideation through execution
• Build geospatial mapping or infrastructure components for mission-critical operations
• Work with mentors and cross-functional teams to deliver defense capabilities
• Learn and apply new technologies to solve complex data problems

• Software engineering fundamentals and clean code principles
• Java or Go backend development
• TypeScript or frontend development
• Ability to learn new programming languages quickly
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Collaboration and communication across technical teams
• Git and GitHub version control
• Experience with open-source technologies (Cassandra, Spark, Elasticsearch, React)
