About this role
A renewable energy company developing ocean technology seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and oversee deployment and maintenance equipment for offshore energy nodes. You'll lead mechanical systems from concept through field operations, working across structures, hydraulics, pneumatics, and controls in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
What you'll do
- Lead development of novel marine support systems including steel structures, mechanisms, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial controls
- Conduct trade studies to identify optimal system architectures and requirements
- Perform engineering analysis and manage subject matter experts as needed
- Create detailed mechanical designs using CAD, schematics, and technical documentation
- Oversee fabrication, testing, and commissioning of critical offshore assets
- Support field operations through system commissioning and sustaining engineering
