About this role
A renewable energy company in Portland, OR is seeking a Mechanical Engineer, Structures to design and develop innovative offshore structures for their core technology, the ‘Node’. This role requires a proactive engineer with a strong foundation in structural analysis and a hands-on approach to lead projects from concept through to deployment.
What you'll do
- Design and analyze Node structures and subsystems
- Conduct structural and dynamic analysis to validate designs
- Create and maintain CAD models and detailed drawings
- Drive engineering reviews and document technical findings
- Plan and support structural validation testing
- Collaborate with manufacturing and offshore teams
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of mechanical or structural design experience
- 3D CAD modeling proficiency
- Strong structural analysis fundamentals
- Knowledge of GD&T and drawing creation
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
