Platform Security Engineer, NZ

About this role

As a Platform Security Engineer at Partly, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the security and reliability of our platform. This is a hands-on role focused on implementing security protocols and processes while collaborating with the SRE team.

What you'll do

• Participate in on-call rotation and lead security incident response
• Manage and ensure compliance with security audits like ISO 27001
• Implement infrastructure security measures and principles of least privilege
• Oversee vulnerability management and remediation processes
• Collaborate closely with SRE for incident reviews and improvements
• Communicate security risks effectively to engineering and leadership

What they're looking for

• 5+ years in security engineering or related field
• Hands-on Kubernetes security knowledge
• Experience with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2)
• Cloud security principles expertise
• Infrastructure-as-code experience
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools
• Ability to work independently and in a team
