Path Robotics is seeking a Welding Engineer to collaborate on developing an autonomous robotic welding system that generates custom motion plans and welding parameters. This role involves conducting experiments, interfacing with customers, and contributing to innovative solutions in the manufacturing sector.
What you'll do
- Conduct weld parameter selection experiments
- Collaborate with robotics engineers on trajectory generation rules
- Perform robotic welding experiments for system testing
- Work with hardware teams to fabricate test coupons
- Travel 30%-50% to interface with customers
- Operate an AI-powered robotic welding cell
What they're looking for
- 3+ years in robotic welding development
- Proficient in industrial robotics platforms
- Experience in fusion-based weld parameter development
- Manual welding process proficiency
- Understanding of weld symbology
- Familiarity with Design of Experiment (DoE) principles
- Collaborative teamwork attitude
