Software Engineer, Edge

Persona is seeking a Software Engineer for their Edge team, focusing on enhancing network configurations and observability within a cloud-based infrastructure. This role involves owning the entire traffic path, ensuring smooth operations while contributing to the team's engineering practices and standards.

What you'll do

• Manage edge networking configurations including routing and WAF policy
• Develop reliable ingress components for self-service traffic management
• Oversee DNS management for seamless name resolution
• Build observability tools for assessing network performance
• Support regional expansion by optimizing networking practices
• Help define engineering standards and practices for the new team

What they're looking for

• Experience in production service development (Go, TypeScript, etc.)
• Network layer diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with Kubernetes networking
• Infrastructure as code practices
• Development of internal platforms or tools
• Understanding of Cloudflare services
• Experience with service meshes
• Prototyping and experimental mindset
