Software Engineer, Traffic

About this role

Persona is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Edge team, focusing on traffic management and networking for their identity verification platform. The role involves owning and optimizing edge networking configurations to enhance performance and reliability, allowing engineers to implement changes independently.

What you'll do

• Manage edge networking configuration including routing and WAF policy
• Improve ingress layer for inbound traffic reliability and observability
• Administer DNS across internal clusters and external zones
• Develop network-layer observability for latency and error rates
• Support regional expansion of networking infrastructure
• Help define engineering practices and technical standards for the team

What they're looking for

• Experience with production services in multiple programming languages, e.g., Go, TypeScript
• Proficiency in diagnosing network-layer production issues
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes networking and DNS management
• Infrastructure as code expertise
• Background in building internal platforms or tools
• Familiarity with Cloudflare services is a plus
