PhysicsX is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to build and deploy applications that leverage physics AI models for their industrial customers. This role involves direct collaboration with customers, data scientists, and engineers, often requiring travel to customer sites. The ideal candidate will be proactive, customer-focused, and capable of solving complex engineering problems while contributing to the company's innovative simulation software stack.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to deliver physics models to customers.
- Design and build RESTful APIs and microservices in Python (FastAPI).
- Deploy applications to the cloud (AWS/Azure) using Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.
- Work directly with customers to understand their needs and build impactful tools.
- Develop and iterate on prototypes based on customer feedback.
- Contribute to the core platform offering and drive its development.
