Intermediate Software Test and Evaluation Specialist

About this role

PingWind is looking for an Intermediate Software Test and Evaluation Specialist to oversee testing activities for software systems. Candidates should have a strong background in software testing and expertise in managing evaluation processes to ensure software quality and compliance.

What you'll do

• Develop and manage test plans and evaluation strategies
• Lead various types of software testing, including functional and performance testing
• Document and report test results while identifying defects and risks
• Support CI/CD pipelines with automated testing
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards and best practices
• Collaborate with development and QA teams

What they're looking for

• Experience in software testing and quality assurance
• DoD 8140 certification
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit)
• Understanding of CI/CD processes
• Familiarity with defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA)
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter)
• Knowledge of cybersecurity testing and secure coding standards
• Mentoring skills for junior testers
