About this role

Plaid is seeking a Sales Engineer who will act as the technical leader in the pre-sales process for Enterprise accounts. This role involves collaborating with Account Executives, addressing technical inquiries, and ensuring a smooth transition through the customer lifecycle, focusing on how clients can maximize their use of Plaid's offerings.

What you'll do

  • Lead technical discussions for Enterprise accounts during sales
  • Work with Account Executives to tailor solutions for client needs
  • Engage with technical stakeholders to secure buy-in
  • Conduct product demonstrations and handle RFPs
  • Participate in Proof of Concepts (POCs) for performance evaluations
  • Collaborate with engineering to enhance product based on feedback

  • 5-7+ years in customer-facing roles in enterprise sales
  • Understanding of Identity and Income Verification systems
  • Familiarity with statistical/ML models and customer insights
  • Strong customer empathy and communication abilities
  • Technical understanding of API platforms and web architecture
  • Consultative approach to translating tech into business value
  • Quick learner of new technologies
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
