Software Engineer, Full Stack

Plaid is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer who will enhance financial connectivity for users through the development of both backend services and frontend experiences. The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and user-friendly financial tools.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain frontend and backend components
• Focus primarily on backend development (60-70%), including APIs and services
• Create engaging frontend experiences using modern JavaScript frameworks
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to implement features
• Write clean and efficient code while ensuring quality through testing
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues

What they're looking for

• 2-4 years of full-stack development experience
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java, Go, or Node.js
• Experience with MySQL or relational databases
• Familiarity with microservices architecture
• API design experience
• Strong coding and testing abilities
