About this role
PlanetScale seeks a Software Engineer to build AI-powered internal tools that automate manual workflows across engineering, support, and operations. You'll develop bots, integrations, and dashboards while working in-person at the San Francisco headquarters, reporting directly to the SVP of Engineering.
What you'll do
- Build AI-enabled tools and agents to automate manual work across engineering, support, and operations teams
- Develop Slack bots and integrations with PagerDuty and other business systems
- Create internal dashboards to provide visibility into company operations and service quality
- Integrate LLM APIs and AI coding tools into internal systems and automation workflows
- Ship small, useful solutions quickly and iterate based on user feedback
- Own projects end-to-end from design through support, working with senior engineers and leadership
