Software Engineer - Postgres Internals

About this role

PlanetScale is seeking a PostgreSQL Core Engineer to contribute to the PostgreSQL core engine and maintain both open-source and proprietary Postgres extensions. This role involves coding, patch reviewing, community engagement, and documentation improvements in a collaborative environment.

What you'll do

• Author and review patches for PostgreSQL core engine
• Maintain open-source and proprietary Postgres extensions
• Rigorously review community patches for correctness
• Engage with the PostgreSQL community during design discussions
• Identify and resolve Postgres issues affecting customers
• Enhance documentation for PostgreSQL and extensions
