Agent Engineer

About this role

Profound seeks an Agent Engineer to work directly with customers deploying AI agent solutions that monitor and optimize brand representation across AI search platforms. You'll bridge customer needs and technical implementation, designing and building agent workflows within Profound's platform to drive measurable business outcomes.

What you'll do

• Partner with customers to understand goals and translate needs into concrete, high-impact agent-based use cases
• Design and configure agents for tasks like AI visibility tracking, competitor alerts, content gap identification, and content optimization
• Build working implementations using Profound's workflow platform by connecting nodes, APIs, and data sources
• Rapidly prototype and deploy solutions in a forward-deployed, customer-embedded model
• Own deployments end-to-end and coordinate handoffs to engineering when needed
• Collect customer feedback to inform product roadmap and identify best practices

What they're looking for

• Client-facing experience (consulting, solutions, strategy, implementation, or customer success)
• Problem-framing and requirements translation abilities
• Technical fluency with low-code/no-code tools, workflows, scripts, or APIs
• Hands-on experience with AI tools, agents, or automation systems
• Cross-functional communication between customers and engineers
• Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage products
• Experience with tools like Cursor or Claude Code (preferred)
