About this role
Quantum Space is seeking a skilled Spacecraft Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) Engineer to develop algorithms and capabilities that enable autonomous spacecraft operation across various missions. In this role, you will own the GNC subsystem lifecycle, from mission analysis to on-orbit support, and contribute to rapid iteration cycles for improved maneuverability. You'll be instrumental in shaping next-generation GNC architectures and directly impacting mission success.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain high-fidelity spacecraft dynamics and GNC simulation environments.
- Implement and tune control laws for attitude control, orbit maneuvering, and station-keeping.
- Design and analyze state estimation algorithms (EKF/UKF) and sensor fusion pipelines.
- Integrate GNC algorithms into flight software and validate through various testing methods.
- Collaborate with avionics and sensor teams to define GNC-related interfaces and performance budgets.
- Analyze telemetry data to evaluate GNC performance and inform algorithm updates.
