Systems Engineer
About this role
RADAR is seeking a Systems Engineer to own end-to-end inventory features for our real-time retail data infrastructure platform. You'll drive system-level problem-solving, requirements definition, and cross-functional coordination to ensure high-quality feature releases across 1,500+ deployed stores processing billions of daily events.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end system features with autonomous influence over definition, design, and execution across hardware, firmware, and software subsystems
- Analyze RFID sensor data from production and test environments using Python and SQL to assess performance and monitor fleet-wide metrics in BigQuery
- Write detailed, testable system requirements with acceptance criteria and decompose them to subsystem level for component performance specification
- Collaborate with System Test team to validate design and engineering changes against requirements across custom RFID sensors, control software, mobile apps, and cloud analytics
- Triage test failures and production bugs, lead debug sessions with engineers to identify root causes and solutions
- Drive alignment and release planning decisions across Hardware, Software, Test, Product, and Design teams with go/no-go recommendations for customer deployments
