Android Engineer

Rain is seeking an Android Engineer to lead the development of mobile applications that utilize their payment platform. This role involves owning the complete Android development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering quality user experiences for clients in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

• Oversee the Android development lifecycle from architecture to Play Store delivery
• Build high-quality mobile apps using Rain's APIs
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to define mobile strategies
• Create a scalable and maintainable codebase
• Implement secure data handling and authentication mechanisms
• Drive decisions on mobile tooling and testing strategies

What they're looking for

• 4–10 years of mobile development experience
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Android frameworks
• Experience in architecting Android applications
• Knowledge of RESTful API integration
• Strong focus on code quality and maintainability
• Ability to work autonomously
• Strong understanding of user experience design
• Excellent communication skills
