Software Engineer, Argentina

About this role

Ramp seeks a backend engineer to design and scale systems powering spend controls, card transactions, and approval workflows that process billions of dollars. You'll collaborate across teams to build intelligent automation features integrated with AI and financial infrastructure, owning projects from architecture through deployment.

What you'll do

• Design and build scalable backend systems for spend controls, approvals, and card transactions
• Integrate with Ramp's AI platform to automate spend policy enforcement and anomaly detection
• Own complex projects end-to-end from architecture to deployment and observability
• Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to deliver user-focused solutions
• Partner with platform and integrations teams to ensure reliability and data consistency
• Improve transaction and policy infrastructure for performance and resilience

• Backend systems and API design
• Python, Go, or TypeScript
• PostgreSQL and AWS
• Modern observability tooling
• Product thinking and user-centric development
• Fintech or payments experience (nice to have)
• Distributed systems for high-volume transactional data
