Software Engineer

About this role

Reacher is seeking a Software Engineer to develop AI agents and manage backend systems for TikTok Shop brands. This role involves building automated workflows, optimizing infrastructure, and ensuring system reliability in a fast-paced startup environment.

What you'll do

• Create and manage AI agents for automated workflows
• Design agentic systems including error recovery and observability
• Develop and maintain backend systems using Python and FastAPI
• Support jobs infrastructure for scalability
• Ensure high standards of code quality and architecture
• Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions

What they're looking for

• 3+ years of backend engineering
• Proficiency in Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL
• Experience in automation and agent development
• Strong systems thinking for workflow design
• Familiarity with GCP and cloud infrastructure
• Knowledge of API design (REST/GraphQL)
• Testing frameworks experience (e.g., Playwright, Pytest)
• Resourcefulness in problem-solving
