Forward Deployed Engineer

About this role

Realm is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to act as the primary technical liaison for clients, ensuring successful integrations and on-site deployments in industrial settings. This role combines customer engagement with hands-on technical work, focusing on delivering tailored solutions that meet real-world operational needs.

What you'll do

• Spend ~50% of time on-site with customers across the US
• Understand customer operations through direct engagement with stakeholders
• Rapidly prototype tools and integrations in the field
• Troubleshoot complex operational or system issues
• Translate field insights into technical requirements for engineering
• Lead all technical integration work including APIs and data pipelines

• 2+ years in software engineering or mission operations
• Technical fluency and coding skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug code
• Low ego with strong collaboration skills
• Experience with enterprise and government products
• Familiarity with Git and Linux
