Redwood Materials is seeking a Power Electronics Controls Engineer to design and implement advanced control systems for battery energy storage solutions. This role involves optimizing high-power conversion technologies and collaborating to enhance the efficiency of mixed-asset energy sites.

What you'll do

• Design advanced control algorithms for BESS
• Develop AC/DC and DC/DC control schemes
• Create digital twins for system behavior analysis
• Lead Hardware-in-the-Loop testing for firmware validation
• Implement control strategies for recycled battery integration
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams

What they're looking for

• Expertise in power electronics control systems
• Strong knowledge of high-efficiency power conversion
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and PLECS
• Familiarity with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing
• Understanding of circular asset integration
• Leadership in cross-functional engineering
