About this role
Relativity Space seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to own mechanical assembly hardware from design through production for the Terran R rocket. You'll develop manufacturing processes, support first-article builds, and coordinate across teams to scale high-volume subassemblies in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
What you'll do
- Own hardware execution from design release through build, test, and delivery for vehicle sub-systems with full quality responsibility
- Develop detailed build flows, work instructions, and test procedures enabling repeatable, high-quality manufacturing
- Support first-article builds with focus on manufacturability, repeatability, and process scalability
- Provide hands-on floor support during build and test, resolving issues and incorporating technician feedback
- Coordinate across design, supply chain, production, and test teams to ensure part readiness and schedule alignment
- Contribute to long-term manufacturing infrastructure including tooling strategies and production documentation standards
