Propulsion Engineer II, Valves

Relativity Space is seeking a Propulsion Engineer II to design and develop flow control devices for the Aeon R engine and the Terran R launch vehicle. The role involves hands-on involvement in the entire lifecycle of the components, promoting a culture of innovation and collaboration within the propulsion team.

What you'll do

• Design cryogenic and pneumatic valves
• Conduct fluid, thermal, and structural analysis
• Plan and execute qualification tests for valves
• Support engine and vehicle testing of flow control products
• Perform trade studies for system requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of engineering experience
• Knowledge in thermodynamics and fluid dynamics
• Proficiency in structural analysis
• Experience in test planning and execution
• Strong problem-solving skills
