About this role
About Ridgeline
Ridgeline is the first front-to-back system of record for investment managers. Founded by visionary entrepreneur Dave Duffield (co-founder of both PeopleSoft and Workday), the company was created to modernize an industry held back by outdated, disconnected technology. Powered by a single, real-time data set and embedded AI, Ridgeline helps firms automate complexity, accelerate collaboration, and deliver tailored client experiences at scale, without added headcount or risk. Ridgeline is headquartered in Lake Tahoe, with offices in New York, Reno, and the Bay Area, and is recognized by Fast Company as a “Best Workplace for Innovators,” by Frost & Sullivan as a “Technology Innovation Leader,” and by The Software Report as a “Top 100 Software Company.”
Why this role exists
As the number of concurrent customer implementations at Ridgeline grows, our Technical Consulting team is changing how it builds, deploys, and supports third-party integrations. This role is split roughly evenly between delivering integrations for new customers and helping launch a new managed integration services capability within consulting. You will help bring integration code into a single source of truth, define repeatable deployment and operating models, and make every new build faster and more consistent than the last. As a founding member of this effort, you will work closely with Technical Consulting leadership and Platform Engineering, and you will have the chance to shape how Ridgeline supports customers long after go-live.
What success looks like
Within six months, you will have completed training, shadowed experienced consultants, and built integrations with guided support. You will have led the integration workstream for a customer implementation and become familiar with Ridgeline APIs, Workato connectors, and common third-party vendors. Within a year, you will have a holistic understanding of our implementation methodology and of the customer and vendor landscape, and you will have made meaningful progress with Platform Engineering on reusable, centrally managed integration assets.
What you'll do
- Lead and project manage integration workstream
- Conduct discovery sessions to develop and document a thorough understanding of customers’ integration needs
- Build and deploy integrations that are reusable, well documented, and maintainable across customers.
- Partner with Platform Engineering to move integration code into a single source of truth with consistent deployment practices.
- Improve our implementation methodology and consulting efficiency, with a focus on reducing technical debt and the hours required for repeat builds.
- Help define the operating model for managed integration services that supports customers after go-live.
- Engage directly with customers and vendors to scope, build, and troubleshoot integrations.
What we look for
- 3–5 years of professional experience delivering technical solutions for customer or internal stakeholders in a software, consulting or complex technology environment.
- Experience working in a complex technology organization, ideally a microservices environment, with a demonstrated understanding of how to deploy a service.
- Practical software development or systems engineering experience beyond configuration, including building, deploying, and maintaining technical solutions.
- Experience owning the resolution of a complex, high-impact technical challenge within a multi-system or microservices environment.
- Comfort working directly with customers and vendors, and the ability to learn new technologies and domains quickly.
Bonus Points
- Experience in financial services or investment management (not required; we welcome backgrounds from other industries).
- Experience championing and driving adoption of source control, testing, deployment, and monitoring practices for a team.
- Hands-on experience with Workato or another Integration-Platform-as-a-Service solution (Workday Studio, Mulesoft, Boomi, or Similar)
- Have explored and developed initial ideas about agentic operations: agentic code review, continuous deployment, end-to-end integration tests, observability tooling, LLM gateway, and other related areas
- Strong opinions about different models and when to use them is a plus!
Compensation and Benefits
The cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $114,000 - $143,000 OTE. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amount listed above.
As an employee at Ridgeline, you’ll have many opportunities for advancement in your career and can make a true impact on the product.
