About this role
As a Functional Safety Engineer for Infotainment Systems, you will focus on ensuring safety in infotainment and connected vehicle features, preventing failures from affecting critical vehicle functions. This role involves safety analysis, requirements development, and validation of systems in both LabCar and HiL environments, while collaborating with various teams to maintain system integrity.
What you'll do
- Ensure functional safety in the design and development of infotainment systems.
- Contribute to feature requirements and identify safety hazards in infotainment features.
- Perform safety analyses and develop safety requirements using management tools.
- Create safety mechanisms to prevent infotainment failures from affecting critical vehicle functions.
- Develop and validate test cases for safety mechanisms using LabCar and HiL.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to achieve safety objectives.
What they're looking for
- Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree
- 2-3 years automotive industry experience
- Experience in functional safety or systems engineering
- Knowledge of ADAS systems
- Electronic hardware fault diagnosis
- Familiarity with ISO 26262
- Interpersonal communication skills
- Understanding of AI and machine learning in automotive safety
