Prototype EDS Engineer - System Prototypes

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is seeking a proactive Prototype Engineer to join their System Prototypes team and contribute to the future of electric vehicles. The role involves designing and testing innovative prototype systems, ensuring technical readiness across various development teams.

What you'll do

• Own and drive data release strategy including schematics and BOMs
• Coordinate with Design team to enhance harness design processes
• Serve as a central hub for Electrical Distribution System (EDS) knowledge
• Support the design and build of next-generation prototype assets
• Align technical needs with vehicle milestones and collaborate with development teams

• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field
• Experience in automotive low voltage electrical systems
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and schematics
• Familiar with prototype manufacturing techniques
• Basic mechanical design and CAD skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
