Android Engineer

About this role

Robinhood is seeking an Android Engineer to join their fast-moving team in Menlo Park and help build the mobile platform for their financial services application. You'll work across multiple teams (Acquisition, Equities, or International Brokerage) developing high-quality Android features using modern technologies like Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.

What you'll do

• Develop Android features from design through launch using Kotlin and latest Android APIs
• Own feature development across the full lifecycle with cross-functional collaboration
• Build consumer-grade mobile applications at scale with attention to code quality and maintainability
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Developers, and Data teams
• Improve the Robinhood app codebase and ensure high quality standards for all users

What they're looking for

• Android development (3+ years professional experience)
• Kotlin and Java
• Jetpack Compose
• MVVM architecture
• Coroutines & Flow (or RxJava)
• Retrofit and Room
• Strong product sense and cross-functional collaboration
• Clean code practices and technical communication
