Software Engineer, Agentic AI

About this role

Robinhood is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Agentic AI to build scalable, cloud-based systems supporting the full machine learning lifecycle in fintech. You'll architect distributed backends, optimize ML infrastructure, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver AI-driven capabilities across trading, market data, and security domains.

What you'll do

• Design and implement distributed, cloud-based systems supporting ML workflows from data ingestion through model deployment and monitoring
• Develop robust backend services and APIs (RESTful, gRPC) using Python or Go
• Optimize compute, storage, and data retrieval using relational, NoSQL, and vector databases for low-latency inference
• Build model serving and observability systems to monitor performance and ensure fault tolerance
• Manage large-scale compute environments using AWS/GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Design automated CI/CD workflows and drive continuous improvement for scalability and cost optimization
