Additive Manufacturing Engineer I/II

About this role

Rocket Lab is looking for an Additive Manufacturing Engineer to support the development of directed energy deposition processes for their Archimedes engines in Long Beach, CA. The role involves developing printing parameters, improving print programs, and collaborating with engineering teams to enhance additive manufacturing processes.

What you'll do

• Develop printing parameters for various metallic alloys
• Create and improve print programs for additive manufacturing
• Support day-to-day additive manufacturing operations
• Provide feedback during the Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) process
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers

What they're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Experience in additive manufacturing of metallic materials
• Proficient in DfAM fundamentals
• Modeling skills in Siemens NX or SolidWorks
• CAM programming experience in Siemens NX or MasterCam
