Ground Systems Engineer II – Instrumentation and Controls

Rocket Lab is seeking a Ground Systems Engineer II specialized in Instrumentation and Controls. In this hands-on role, you will work with cross-functional teams to design and improve launch pad assets and support equipment, ensuring the reliability of systems essential for space missions.

What you'll do

• Design launch pad and test site assets, including test stands and mounts.
• Develop launch vehicle support equipment and large mechanisms.
• Conduct 2D and 3D modeling using CAD software.
• Perform system sizing and risk assessments.
• Interact with suppliers and internal teams for system efficiency.
• Support maintenance program development and failure investigations.
