Payload Integration Engineer II

About this role

Rocket Lab is looking for a Payload Integration Engineer II to support the integration of payloads into launch vehicles, requiring experience in spacecraft or launch vehicle integration. This role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and responding to technical challenges while traveling to various launch sites worldwide.

What you'll do

• Perform hands-on payload integration activities
• Assist in on-site integration planning and coordination meetings
• Provide inputs for interface control documentation
• Create and execute assembly integration and test instructions
• Support customer inquiries with technical staff
• Maintain communication with engineering regarding integration needs

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field
• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Active US Government security clearance
• Launch vehicle or space hardware integration experience
• Technical writing and presentation skills
• Ability to travel for work
• Understanding of technical constraints for integration
• Solid interpersonal and organizational skills
