About this role
Rocket Lab seeks a Production Engineer I to optimize photolithography and semiconductor production processes for solar cells and silicon wafers at their Albuquerque facility. You'll drive process improvements, manage yield across fab operations, and collaborate with production, maintenance, and R&D teams to support space-grade component manufacturing.
What you'll do
- Own photolithography process modules and respond to defect issues with periodic yield reporting
- Support fab sustaining activities to maximize yield and productivity across litho work centers
- Write work instructions and oversee operator training for production processes
- Plan and execute experiments to improve safety, yield, reliability, and throughput
- Collaborate with Operations, Equipment Maintenance, Process Technicians, and R&D teams
- Scope and procure new equipment and process approaches for product expansion
