Test and Launch Operations Engineer I

About this role

Rocket Lab is seeking a Test and Launch Operations Engineer I to operate and manage systems for the Electron and Neutron launch vehicles during testing and launches. This role involves executing test sequences, monitoring data, and making critical decisions to ensure successful operations.

What you'll do

• Operate ground systems as a console operator during tests and launches
• Support development and testing of launch pad and facility systems
• Lead testing campaigns and ground system readiness checks
• Manage configuration and verification of launch hardware
• Develop procedures and emergency response protocols
• Troubleshoot real-time issues during operations

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant experience
• 1+ years in engineering design or operations
• Experience with ground support equipment
• Understanding of fluid and cryogenic systems
• Ability to conduct real-time hazardous operations
• Experience in developing operational procedures
