About this role
We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won’t solve the world’s hardest problems – robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
About the role
*Open to hiring remote across the US — we also have offices in New York, San Francisco, Seattle, London, Paris, and Tel Aviv.
We're looking for a Copywriter with a focus in Product Marketing to sit at the intersection of product marketing and in-product experience. This is not a brand or campaign role — it's a performance-driven, product-close writing role. You'll own copy across landing pages, lifecycle emails, ads, feature launches, onboarding flows, in-product messaging, and everything in between. You'll report to the Creative Director of Product Marketing.
Your work will directly shape how people discover, understand, and adopt Runway's products. That means writing copy that converts on a landing page, writing the in-product text that helps a user get started, and crafting the email that brings them back. You'll partner closely with product marketing, growth, design, and product teams — and you'll be measured on clarity, speed, and impact.
What you'll do
Write landing page copy, ad copy, and performance marketing assets that drive acquisition and conversion
Own in-product copy — onboarding flows, feature announcements, tooltips, modals, upgrade prompts, and CTAs
Write lifecycle and product emails — launches, re-engagement, onboarding sequences, and feature adoption
Own the narrative for launch videos and short-form product films, writing scripts, sharpening others' drafts, and making sure every frame makes the product's value clear
Partner with product marketing on positioning, messaging frameworks, and go-to-market copy for new releases
Collaborate with design and product teams to shape the in-product writing experience
Write and iterate on A/B test variants across landing pages, emails, and ads
Translate complex, technical product capabilities into clear, compelling language for a range of audiences
Maintain consistency in product voice and terminology across all touchpoints
What you'll need
4+ years of experience in product copywriting, growth marketing or a related writing role at a tech or SaaS company
A portfolio that shows range across performance marketing, product copy and in-product writing — not just brand campaigns
Strong instinct for conversion-oriented writing — you think in terms of clarity, action, and outcomes
Experience writing in-product copy (onboarding, feature education, UX microcopy) alongside marketing copy
Comfort working with data — you can look at test results, funnel metrics and engagement data and know what to write next
Experience partnering with product, design, and growth teams in a fast-moving environment
Ability to context-switch across multiple launches and workstreams without losing quality
Experience in AI, creative tools, or developer-adjacent products is a strong plus
Runway strives to recruit and retain exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds while ensuring pay equity for our team. Our salary ranges are based on competitive market rates for our size, stage and industry, and salary is just one part of the overall compensation package we provide.
