Camera Optomechanical Engineer

Saronic Technologies is looking for a Camera Optomechanical Engineer to design and integrate imaging systems for Autonomous Service Vessels. The role requires a blend of optical and mechanical expertise to develop robust camera enclosures and systems that perform in challenging maritime environments.

What you'll do

• Design optomechanical assemblies for cameras and sensors
• Collaborate with engineers to define requirements for camera systems
• Conduct tolerance analysis for marine environments
• Integrate commercial and custom components within SWaP constraints
• Develop test plans for environmental and performance validation
• Document designs and changes throughout the product lifecycle

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Optical Engineering
• 2+ years in optomechanical system design
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo)
• Experience with FEA and thermal modeling
• Knowledge of optical principles and lens selection
• Familiarity with environmental sealing and thermal management
• Understanding of camera sensor technologies
• Experience with unmanned systems preferred
