Electrical Engineer Intern (Fall 2026)

About this role

Saronic Technologies is looking for an Electrical Engineer Intern to assist in the design, development, and testing of autonomous surface vessels. This hands-on internship offers engineering students a chance to apply their skills in a supportive environment focused on maritime innovation and national security.

What you'll do

• Support design and development of electro-mechanical systems for autonomous vessels
• Monitor and analyze testing data for system performance
• Participate in validating prototypes and navigation algorithms
• Assist with power calculations and sensor integration
• Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot prototypes
• Document progress and prepare reports

What they're looking for

• Basic programming skills in Python, C/C++, or Linux
• Experience with electro-mechanical systems
• Power calculations and measurement knowledge
• Familiarity with electrical schematics
• Sensor and data acquisition knowledge
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Experience with tools like Arduino and Raspberry PI
