About this role

Saronic Technologies seeks a licensed Chief Engineer to oversee engine room operations and maintenance of the Marauder, an autonomous surface vessel. You'll manage propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, fuel and cooling systems while ensuring safety compliance and supporting mission-critical vessel reliability.

What you'll do

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on vessel machinery and engineering systems
  • Oversee safe operation of engine room equipment and systems
  • Remain on call during vessel operations to address engineering issues
  • Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate component ordering
  • Develop and execute the vessel's Planned Maintenance System (PMS)
  • Support mission execution by maintaining vessel engineering reliability
