R&D Test Engineer

About this role

Saronic Technologies is looking for an R&D Test Engineer to advance autonomous vehicle systems through design, testing, and prototype development. The role involves applying diverse engineering principles and conducting hands-on testing in both lab and marine environments.

What you'll do

• Understand technical requirements and develop solutions
• Design and enhance electro-mechanical systems for autonomous vehicles
• Conduct research and document findings
• Integrate systems and verify functionality through testing
• Identify weaknesses in systems and suggest improvements
• Create ASV platforms and software interfaces

What they're looking for

• BS in relevant engineering field
• 3+ years of engineering experience
• Strong engineering fundamentals and analysis skills
• Field experience with electro-mechanical systems
• CAD modeling expertise
• Finite element analysis (FEA) knowledge
• Proficiency in Linux, Python, C/C++
• Autonomous vehicle or marine systems experience preferred
