About this role
Saronic Technologies is looking for a Software Engineer to develop innovative software solutions for autonomous maritime platforms. This role involves collaborating with engineers and addressing technical challenges in systems integration, navigation, and controls.
What you'll do
- Design and develop software for autonomous systems and edge devices
- Create APIs and system interfaces for hardware and cloud integration
- Work with engineering teams to rapidly prototype solutions
- Participate in field testing and government demonstrations

- Experience with autonomous platforms and edge devices
- Understanding of path planning and sensor fusion
- Proficient in Python, C++, or Rust
- Familiarity with robotics frameworks like ROS/ROS2
- Experience with embedded Linux and software development
- Knowledge of serial protocols like RS-232 and CAN
- Skills in hardware-in-the-loop testing
- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
