Structures Test Engineer

Saronic Technologies is looking for a Structures Test Engineer to join their maritime mechanical team, focusing on the design, testing, and validation of autonomous surface vessel structures for defense applications. This role combines hands-on engineering with collaboration across various technical teams to enhance naval operations and ensure rigorous testing protocols.

What you'll do

• Develop test stand concepts and necessary documentation for maritime platforms
• Design and validate structural and fluid systems for ASV subsystems
• Supervise the integration and commissioning of structural test setups
• Execute mechanical and structural testing of marine components
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for test fidelity
• Maintain detailed records of test data and design changes

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering
• 2+ years of experience with structural test equipment
• Hands-on design and testing experience
• Proficient in structural FEA and mechanical testing
• 3D CAD software proficiency (Siemens NX/Unigraphics preferred)
• Experience with GD&T and Finite Element Analysis tools
• Knowledge of high-pressure fluid system design
• Mechanical assembly and fabrication techniques
