About this role
Scout Motors is seeking a dedicated Engineer to lead the design and release of electrical switches and switch modules for electric pick-up trucks and rugged SUVs. The role involves collaboration across various teams to ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality, and safety standards.
What you'll do
- Design and release electrical switches and modules from concept to launch
- Collaborate with studio, purchasing, and finance to develop specifications
- Manage suppliers to meet cost, timing, and quality goals
- Define electrical interfaces in line with vehicle architecture
- Work with software teams on diagnostics and fault handling
- Propose system improvements based on consumer experience
What they're looking for
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or related fields
- 5-10 years in electromechanical components and switch design
- Strong technical expertise in human-machine interfaces
- Familiarity with computer-aided engineering (CAE)
- Knowledge of diagnostics and switch fault handling
- Experience with industrial design and haptics
- Supplier management experience
- VW group experience (desirable)
