About this role

Security Level 5 is seeking a Machine Learning Research Engineer to contribute to building a novel datacenter designed to protect frontier AI labs from sophisticated nation-state attacks. You'll be instrumental in designing and executing experiments to measure the impact of security controls on AI research workflows, considering future workload demands. This is a unique opportunity to tackle a challenging and impactful problem at the forefront of AI security.

What you'll do

  • Designing and running experiments to measure SL5 control effectiveness.
  • Forecasting future AI workloads and infrastructure needs.
  • Interpreting experimental results for a frontier-scale audience.
  • Working with the training stack (multi-node jobs, accelerators, etc.)
  • Reasoning about the limitations of small-scale proxies for frontier workloads.
